After anointing Micah Debbi leaned in to give Micah a kiss. He proceeded to kiss her back & everyone thought that was too cute. Now my question is, why will he kiss other people an only headbutts me?!

Baby Dedication
We decided to have Micah dedicated on Father's day. He was quite the preacher through the ceremony. He thought since he was in front of church it was his turn to talk :-)
Micah & Daddy read together
Micah has decided he likes to look at books. We have some Baby Einstein books which have real life pictures of animals in them, these are his favorite.

I received a coupon in the mail for a free birthday cake for Micah from a store here in town. I wasn't planning on celebrating his birthday here...but you know me, I couldn't pass up on a free cake!

I have been wanting to do this for a while...I found a website that would map all of the countries that we (Ryan and/or I) have been to. It's kinda fun. Although Ryan's explorations seem to cover much more of the world map than mine ;-)

Micah Enjoys a Cupcake
Yesterday I was asked to make cupcakes for dinner at youth group. The only kind of cupcakes I have ever made were Cherry Chip (thanks to my mom). But I knew that kids love chocolate so I went out & bought a box of fudge chocolate cupcakes. They were great & moist....the only problem was it was almost impossible to spread the frosting on them (they were just too soft on top). So after ruining many cupcakes I decided to offer one to Micah...what follows is his first experiement with a chocolate cupcake....enjoy (he sure did!).
Breakfast Wipes Micah Out
This has happened a couple times to us in recent weeks. Micah enjoys his morning breakfast (here it's waffles) & falls asleep in his chair before he can finish the last bite. After I took this picture I found him slumped forward with his face laying in the jam ;-) Let's just say, he took a good hot bath after that one.

Two weeks to go...
Well June is here! I received a coupon in the mail today offering me a free cake from Vons (aka Safeway) for Micah's birthday. It's hard to believe that it has been a year since the Lord blessed us with Micah. It's actually kind of overwhelming to think that we have had a whole year to enjoy Micah. Now his/our birthdays approach. I feel like I should have some wonderful first birthday party planned for Micah, but I've always been kind of cynical of kids parties when they are too young to enjoy them...but all the same here I am planning Micah's first party :-)
Do you know what I spend most of the time thinking about these days? Where I was a year ago. For example:
- My church was planning a shower for us
- I was driving to Fresno 1/wk for Dr. Appointments, I would schedule them early to avoid baking in the heat
- I was feeling wonderful, although concerned about my HUGE swelling feet
- I was guessing how long I would have to wait for Micah to arrive...Although figuring it defiantly would not come one my birthday
