Micah ABSOLUTLY loves the swing!!

Micah would laugh everytime the swing would go forward. For a kid who LOVES to be thrown up in the air, a swing is heaven!!

Beautiful Sunny Day

Well today was a beautiful sunny California day. Although we totally miss the NW it's hard to not enjoy the sunshine down here during the winter. Ryan spent the morning studing for his PE so Micah & I slept in...ahh that felt good. By the time we were up and ready for the day it was already 65 outside. So we enjoyed an hour at the park where Micah played on the swing, rolled around in the grass & tried in vain to crawl. I'm not too sure if he's going to get it down anytime soon...but he has a lot of determination :-) In the afternoon Ryan came home & we spent time setting up our house for outdoor enjoyment. Although we are expecting a big rain storm early next week, I am hoping to spend a lot of time outside with Micah this spring. I bought an outdoor carpet at Costco & hope to get a little pen so Micah doesn't go rolling off into the gravel. We had quite the time. I hope to post the picture of Micah on the swing (if it turns out). Hope you all have a good weekend.

How to start out a trip to the beach...

Waking up to Snow
Originally uploaded by beeladie.
Ryan & I woke up on Sunday morning prepared to load the car, go to chruch & head to the beach. Instead we found it snowing hard in Oakhurst. By the time we reached church in Mariposa there was 6" of snow on the ground. Micah was quite facinated with the white stuff. He tought it was funny to see mommy trying to catch it in her mouth. It was hard to drag me away from the snow, since we don't get it much here. But what we had in store for us was going to me much more amazing!

We took a short pit stop on the way to the beach. We heard someone talking about this mission at the gas station & figured we'd go check it out. It looked exactly like the old missions you see in the movies! It was amazing!

Our first view of our scenic drive down HWY 1

How can you not want to come visit us?!? We were absolutly in awe of God's beautiful creation.

Ryan & Micah enjoyed a walk on the secluded beach at Pfiffer State Park. This park was about 150 miles south of San Francisco. It was absolutly beautiful! We wanted Micah to put his toes in the water but it was a cold day.

Ryan took this beautiful picture at Pfiffer State Park.

Even the Greek would enjoy this on a hot summer day

We were awe struck by this beautiful Greek style pool. Even though it was only 50 degrees outside it was tempting to take a little dip.

This was the main house where Mr. Hurst lived & entertained. The inside reminded me a lot of the castles in Europe.

We decided to conclude our trip up the Central Califronia coast with a trip up to Hurst Castle. It was build by William Randulf Hurst & was one of 5 vacation homes. Ryan & I both agreed that we wouldn't mind living here :-)

We completed our tour of Hurst's Castle with his Roman style pool. It took 7 men 3 years to complete this pool. Most of Mr. Hurst's guests did not like to use the pool because it was 10' deep & most people did not know how to swim.

I'm trying to post a picture using Micah's picture page...we'll see how it turns out.

Trying it out...

Well as Micah begins to explore more of his world I thought it might be time to begin to chronical his adventures. Hopefully, here you will find editorials on what he's been up to & what he's getting into. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy braging about my favorite little boy!!
