Our aspiring musician and his grandma
Micah had a chance to visit with Grandma Fast and show her the latest song he had learned. Grandma Fast was quite impressed.
Ella begins to Ride
After watching her Daddy & everyone ride in California Ella thought it was time for her to try out the bikes!
We lost Micah in the laundry
Uncle Jon turned sock sorting into "bury Micah time." Micah tought it was quite a kick to get an occational sock thrown on/at him.

Our two messy eaters though bathtime was a blast! Instead of splashing mommy they could now splash each other. They laughed & splashed for quite some time.
Ride 'em horsey!!
This is one of Ella's favorite toys at Grandma's house. Micah thought it was pretty cool himself. Although he wasn't able to touch the ground he loved to use it to pull himself up & push around the livingroom.
Chillin' after a long road trip
We were pretty worried about how Ella would do on the long car ride. We knew Micah would sleep for most of the 13 hr drive, but Ella was another story. But we were plesantly surprised to find out that she did WONDERFUL in the car. She slept for a majority of the trip & while she was awake Micah would entertain her.
At one time we heard the two of them in the back laughing. I looked in my rear view mirror to find them touching hands, laughing & then pulling away. This went on for quite some time to their & our delight.

Micah thought picking on Uncle Jon was quite fun! Christina tried to stay far away from Micah's swinging arms, since she was still recovering from a broken nose (but that's another story).

Ella was pretty proud of herself once she figured out how to stand on the log! Mommy was standing really close for protection.

Christina got to enjoy her first California trip! She rode some, but quickly realized that the boys would take her on CRAZY trails if she let them!

Ella & Andree reunite with Daddy! Ella was very excited to explore the campground. It was hard to keep hold of her as she walked/ran through the camp.
Micah enjoys camp food
Micah thought camp food was pretty cool!! Grandpa Johnson would make dinner while everyone sat around and watched him...and critqued his cooking (it's the Johnson Way :-)

Christina had to hold her own, as the only girl on the motorcycle trip. She enjoyed seeing the kids & playing!
Jelly Belly factory tour
We figured the Jelly Belly factory sounded like a good pitstop along our trip. We enjoyed watching the "secrets" of jelly bean making & enjoyed some unique samples.

You guessed it!! Ella slept through the entire thing! Here Micah & Ella prepare for the Jelly Belly Factory tour. The were required to wear the hats & Micah wasn't too excited about that.
Mommies enjoy the view of San Francisco
Good Bye San Francisco!! We loaded the kids into the car for the first part of our road-trip. We left San Francisco to head north to meet up with "the boys" & Christina on the Annual California Motorcycle trip.
Lombard Street - the curviest street in the US
After our early AM trip to the ER we decided to explore a bit of the town before too many tourists were up. We took the Subaru down Lombard street & explored some of the weathiest neighborhoods in San Francisco.

The weather was beautiful during our stay & the view from Alcatraz was breathtaking!!
What Micah thought of Alcatraz
While we enjoyed the tour, Micah wasn't quite as interested. I think he slept like this for over 2 hours. Everyone thought he was quite amusing!

We decided to do an Alcatraz tour. It was very interesting, although Ella wanted to run throughout most of the jail.

When we weren't able to get around with their strollers the kids hitched a ride on our backs. Uphill was fine, but downhill left my lowerback aching. Ella & Micah both LOVED being at eye level with the rest of the world.

The kids saw most of the city from their strollers. We had to prop their strollers against lightposts, ect to avoid them rolling down the hill.
You can't go to San Fran & not ride the cable cars
Andree & Ella flew down to San Francisco to meet Micah & I for a weekend exploring the town. We had a blast inspite of Ella running a fever throughout the trip, throwing up on Andree as the boarded the plane & an early AM trip to the ER to get her some antibiotics.
The kids enjoyed the cable car trip up the San Francisco streets. Micah watched the buildings go buy & Ella didn't budge as the trolly bell rang.
